The only mammal with scales, the pangolin — a native of tropic areas of Africa and Asia — doesn’t usually provide one’s daily dose of Internet cute, but it’s hard to resist the charms of this little guy being nursed at the Taipei Zoo after refusing to feed from his mother.
Loss of habitat and the pangolin’s desirability as a meat and medicine has led all eight species to be considered endangered, so it’s good to hear that little Gung-wu is hanging in there.
