A quick glimpse of this newly discovered jellyfish would make anyone wonder if they’d been transported from the depths of the Mariana Trench to the cosmos, yet this crazy creature is an Earthling.
According to LiveScience:
Inside the bell, which resembles a flying saucerof sorts, are red canals that seem to connect bright-yellow gonads, according to the scientists. From the looks of the jellyfish, the researchers identified it as belonging to the genus Crossota.
The ambush predator presumably feasts on creatures not gifted in the sight department since it would be hard to miss this stunning creature otherwise.
