Jesselyn Silva is afraid of roller coasters, but not of jumping into the boxing ring and taking a few hits.
At the age of ten, she generally has to spar with boys since there are few girls in the sport, and she’s gotten plenty of grief from the kids at school. Her father, Pedro, is adjusting to being the supportive dad when his first instinct is caution.
Jesselyn is determined to take her ambition all the way to the top, though. We could very well be looking at one of our future Olympians.
