If you’ve decided to drink and stay off the roads by hopping public transportation, give yourself a pat on the back, but the British Transport Police warn that doesn’t mean you’re in the clear.
Earlier this year, their cameras caught footage of a drunk woman falling under the train as she disembarked, and with her permission, they’re showing the film through the holidays to remind people to be careful.
Spokesman Simon Lubin noted that:
“We have a lot of problems at this time of year with people drinking and injuring themselves,” said Lubin. “They’re obviously not going to drive, so they take the train.
“Minor injuries are not that uncommon but many times in the past people have been killed or seriously injured falling onto the platform at the London Underground or in train stations.”
