Gorillaz' legend is well worn at this point, but for those for whom this is the first time dealing with this unique and bizzare animated/pop/rap hybrid band — Gorillaz is a collaboration between Blur frontman Damon Albarn and comic book artist Jamie Hewlett — wherein the duo looked at the fakeness of so many bands from their world and decided to up the ante— make a band that's literally fictional. They did so with Gorillaz, and sine then the Gorillaz have been releasing mind bending videos and weird projects which — thus far — has had its biggest impact with their second album Demon Days.
But Demon Days was so long ago, and Hewlett and Albarn are never ones to rest on their laurels — and thus today, as an absolute surprise, there were four new Gorillaz singles released — and with them a small and trippy music video titled "Saturnz Barz". You could watch it normally, certainly, but its best watch for ultimate trippiness in the 360 degree mode above. Give it a look. Whirl around, and enjoy another trippy experiment from one of the most interesting duos in music and animation alike.
