Remembering Elie Wiesel with a community reading of “Night”

Elie Wiesel survived the horrors of the Holocaust and went on to become one of the world’s most outspoken champions against atrocities until his death in 2016. To honor his life’s work and International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Museum of Jewish Heritage and National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene held a community reading of his book, Night, based on his horrific experiences. As the world once again faces the forces of white supremacy on the rise, his work and warnings are more important than ever. “There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.” –Elie Wiesel
