Hummingbird-inspired wind turbines being tested in Tunisia

Getting a close look at how a hummingbird’s wings work is no easy task, but it’s about to be a lot easier thanks to this new design for wind turbines being tested in Tunisia. Hassine Labaied of Tyer Wind says it’s the first time a motion similar to the bird’s has been successfully used in a machine, creating the kind of figure eight version that allows it to hover in one place.
