Travel through time: Google Earth Timelapse gets an update

You don’t need a time machine to get a good look at how Earth has changed since 1985, thanks to Google Earth’s biggest update to its Timelapse feature yet. Four more years of data and sharper images have been released going back to 1985, so anyone can get a bird’s eye view of things like the boom of metropolitan areas in the Middle East and China or the retreat of glaciers. The following playlist includes 193 short timelapses for your perusal. Enjoy.
