Walking seems like the easiest thing in the world, until you try to build a walking machine of your own.
Dutch artist Theo Jansen has been creating walking art for decades, primarily using PVC pipe, which he’s termed Strandbeest, and that became the inspiration for a team in California to adapt a bike using the Strandbeest model.
The walking bike was born, and recently strutted its stuff in the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice parade.
