On the one hand, the Anchorage Police Department couldn’t quite figure out how to stop this stolen front loader when an intoxicated thief decided to take it for a joy ride. On the other, it moved so slowly, he couldn’t shake the cops.
And there was an excellent reason for the pursuit; the driver used the heavy machinery to smash into the front of a liquor store and steal some bottles before fleeing.
Witnesses noted he must have had experience with this kind of vehicle considering the skill he exhibited under the influence.
