Once upon a time, you couldn’t have an army without an army of blacksmiths backing you up, and even if the making of most weaponry has been consigned to a factory, there are a few who still practice the ancient art of sword making.
Bladesmith Tony Swatton is one of these artisans, who’s work has appeared in multiple films, and Phil Holland decided to try out the new RED Weapon 8K camera filming him at the forge creating a modern version of the Roman Gladius Sword using “a 93 layer Damascus technique in the blade.”
