When we run into a convenience store to grab a drink or snack, we don’t often think of the risks these workers run every time the cash drawer opens, but Bhumika Patel of Keysville, Georgia was ready…and not with a gun of her own. When the seventeen-year-old would-be thief pulled a gun on her, she leapt into action using her bare hands first, then the cash drawer, and finished him off by chasing him out of the store with a hammer. Her own injuries?
