Why brake-checking a tailgater is always a horrible idea [video]

We all know the annoyance of both tailgaters and slow drivers who insist on holding steady in the left lane, but this is why brake-checking is never the answer. In this situation, it appears only one car had to pay the price for a series of thoughtless actions, yet it could have turned disastrous for any number of cars on either side of the highway. Move over, slow down, and — most importantly — remember there are other drivers on the road.
