All seems serene on this stretch of Arctic ice, but, lo and behold, a surprise is lurking just under the surface.
Though several feet of ice stood between the Los Angeles-class submarine USS Hartford and daylight, nature couldn’t keep this craft down.
Funny how familiar the guy scraping the ice off the top looks to anyone who’s had to dig their car out after a winter storm.
