Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster: Major Malfunction



On Jan. 28, 1986, seven astronauts, including one school teacher named Christa McAuliffe. McAuliffe and her crew mates never made it to space, sadly, because just over a minute into their takeoff the shuttle exploded. Everyone on board died.
