Thousands of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the world will gather this weekend in meetinghouses, the Conference Center in Salt Lake City and in their homes to listen to the words of church leaders at the 188th Annual General Conference.
This conference will be unique as a solemn assembly is held to confirm the church’s new president, Russell M. Nelson, and to call two new members to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, the faith’s second-highest governing body.
