The Nam Ao Hydropower Project has been under construction since 2015, but it appears they’ll be starting agains from scratch.
The dam was reportedly eighty-five percent complete when it suddenly collapsed, flooding surrounding farmland and businesses and forcing people to flee to higher ground for safety.
So far, there’ve been no reported deaths or injuries, fortunately.
